Your "professional brand" - and yes you really should have one - is in essence the combination of words, phrases and sentences that spring to mind every time your name is mentioned.
In essence it is people’s view of the quality of your actions: it is how you apply, and what you do with, your transferable skills and your skill clusters, those combinations of transferable skills that become the activities of professional people.
Examples are “making decisions”, “devising processes and systems”, “motivating other people”, “solving problems”, “managing projects”.
Here’s an exercise for you to help you draw out your own transferable skills and skill clusters - it’s the first stage in defining your own professional brand - what you want to be known for.
At the end of the next 10 working days, write down your accomplishments for that day and next to each one note the combination of transferable skills you used to make it happen. #proteuscareermanagement #transferableskills #branding
